Diversity Initiative Scholarship
Carstens & Cahoon, LLP is devoted to creating a diverse and stimulating work environment. It is our goal to help encourage women and minorities to enter the practice of intellectual property law in Texas. This year, to help advance our goal, our firm will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a woman and/or minority law student interested in pursuing a career in intellectual property law. 2016 Scholarship Recipient: Mr. Hau Wu
Mr. Wu was chosen based on his excellent academic performance and his demonstration of interest in pursuing a career in intellectual property law. Mr. Wu is attending SMU Dedman School of Law and is a member of The Honorable Barbara M.G. Lynn American Inn of Court.
2016 Scholarship Recipient: Ms. Priscilla Tran
Ms. Tran was selected as the beneficiary of the scholarship based on her excellent academic performance, involvement in extracurricular activities, and demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in intellectual property law. Ms. Tran is attending Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
