Carstens and Cahoon welcomes our summer clerk Abdul Althebaity, a native of Saudi Arabia who has just completed his 2L year at the University of Houston Law Center. At UH Law Center, Abdul is a member of the Intellectual Property Student Association and serves as the Assistant Executive Editor for the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal. Abdul received the LEX Award for achieving the highest grade in his 1L writing class. During his 2L year, Abdul served as a Legal Writing Fellow to provide help to law school students with their writing assignments as well as to assist professors in preparing for class.
Prior to attending law school, Abdul obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating in 2015, he worked at Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) for two years as a Process Engineer with the company’s Global Technology Management team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Abdul claims Austin as his second home, as this is where he met his wife. In his free time, Abdul enjoys scuba diving, trying new restaurants, and playing fetch with his 75-pound Doberman, Hero. He is also an avid football and fútbol fan as well as a firm believer that Texas is back. Hook’em Horns!
